Billy Proctor is a guitar tutor who is happy to teach all ability levels on any form of Guitar, Bass, Banjo, Ukelele, Mandolin or Balalaika and has been doing so throughout his studies through to the present day.
Billy first started playing classical guitar with his father at the age of six and then started playing the electric at 11 for a high school production of Grease. He performed in a variety of ensembles and bands throughout his school years including performances on local BBC Radio and then on went on to complete both his undergraduate and post-graduate studies at the Royal Northern College of Music under classical guitarist Craig Ogden.
Performing Steve Reich’s ‘2×5’ with the contemporary music group Bang on a Can in Manchester as part of their world tour was a personal highlight of Billy’s time there and he now splits his time performing as either a soloist or chamber musician on the Classical Guitar, or as a pit musician for theatre productions in and around Manchester, Cheshire and Staffordshire
