Carys

Carys is a professional saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist who graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music in 2024 with a first-class Undergraduate degree and a Master’s degree with Distinction. As recipient of the John Fewkes Instrumentalist Award, Carys studied with some of the world’s most elite saxophonists including Timothy McAllister, Carl Raven and Valentine Michaud, and has gone on to build a thriving career as a professional performer and educator. She made her Bridgewater Hall debut in 2026 and has performed at many prestigious music venues including the European Saxophone Congress, Wigmore Hall and Nottingham Symphony Hall.

As an educator, Carys is an experienced saxophone, clarinet, flute and piano tutor, and aims to inspire her students through a wide variety of musical genres. Carys loves seeing her students develop their skills and achieve their musical goals.
