Natasha is originally from Liverpool. She studied first at the prestigious Chetham’s School of Music, and then the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formerly Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama) where she gained both BMus (hons.) and MMus degrees in Vocal Studies and Performance. As an experienced operatic, concert and recital soprano, Natasha enjoys a varied calendar across the UK and further afield, and has sung in many iconic venues such as the Royal Albert Hall as part of the BBC Proms, Royal Festival Hall, Bridgewater Hall and Prague’s Smetana Hall. In addition, Natasha regularly performs on the UK jazz and popular music scenes.
Alongside her vocal endeavours, Natasha has always had a love for the violin – her first instrument – and maintained her keyboard/piano skills, which are so essential for vocal practise as well as all instrumental teaching. She has undergone additional training in Kodaly methodology, which uses singing, rhythmic exercises and games to instil a natural and organic musical development.
Natasha approaches all lessons with a friendly and compassionate professionalism, as a supportive environments allows pupils to learn confidently through trial and error, without losing sight of the enjoyment of the process. Half an hour per week is only a small part of the journey as a musician, so Natasha aims to give each pupil the skills they need in order to progress outside of lessons. Musicians who can trust their instincts, use their ears and vary their practise will get the most enjoyment from their learning
